The print is a 4 color, 5 layer print. The first layer being a seamless sheet of Gold foil, as I printed layer after layer, the thin layer of gold slowly broke apart. The concept was to capture the destruction of good people by the layers we require of them. Do we miss the core of a person when we cover them up with our own layers.
"The original idea had a more whimsical context: print layers of a woman over a sheet of gold, with each new layer of ink the image of the woman would come through and you could still see the gold. But the image didn't look so lovely, and there is now an opportunity to talk about how there has been alot of people accusing other people in politics and in our American social world. And the layers of accusations often times cover up the gold within the person. This piece goes out to the women, and their gold, trapped under the layers."
